CBOE Board Selects Edward Tilly As Vice Chairman

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) Board of Directors today announced that Edward T. Tilly will serve as CBOE vice chairman in 2004. Mr. Tilly, currently a member of the board of directors, serving as a floor member director, will serve a one-year term as vice chairman.

"Ed's tireless efforts on behalf of CBOE, including his leadership role in developing the Hybrid Trading System, have been invaluable. His experience and dedication to the Exchange will surely serve us well as we continue to move forward, keeping CBOE competitive and strong."

An active CBOE member since 1989, Mr. Tilly is a market maker for Botta Capital Management, LLC. He has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the CBOE Hybrid Trading System, CBOEdirect HyTS, which debuted in June, 2003. Mr. Tilly also serves on the Governance, and Equity Floor Procedure Committees, and the Corporate Structure Task Force. He also served as a member of the board of directors in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2003.

As the only candidate for vice chairman in 2004, Mr. Tilly was declared vice chairman by the CBOE Board of Directors to take office on January 1, 2004, succeeding current vice chairman, Mark Duffy.
