CBOE Board Of Directors Announces 2006 Vice Chairman; Edward T. Tilly To Serve Third Consecutive Term

The Board of Directors of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that Edward T. Tilly will serve as vice chairman of the Chicago Board Options Exchange in 2006. Mr. Tilly, the current CBOE vice chairman and a member of the board of directors, will serve his third one-year term as vice chairman.

"During the span of his nearly two decades at CBOE, Ed has been tireless in his efforts working on behalf of the Exchange, and we couldn't be more pleased that Ed will serve a third term as CBOE Vice Chairman," said CBOE Chairman and CEO William J. Brodsky. "He has been a key figure in leading the implementation of many exchange enhancements over the past two years, and in particular, has been instrumental in guiding the successful launch of our Hybrid Trading System. Looking ahead, the Exchange will address several strategic initiatives in the upcoming year and Ed's experience and expertise will be invaluable as CBOE charts its course for the future."

Mr. Tilly has been a CBOE member since 1989 and has served on the CBOE Board of Directors in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003, 2004 and 2005. In 2005, he chaired the Floor Directors Committee, the Competition Task Force, and the Special Product Assignment Committee, and served on the Compensation, Executive, Special Appointments, and Modified Trading Systems (MTS) Appointments Committees. Mr. Tilly is a graduate of Northwestern University.

Mr. Tilly was declared vice chairman by the CBOE Board of Directors to take office on January 1, 2006. This is Mr. Tilly's third consecutive term as CBOE vice chairman.The Vice Chairman at CBOE is the highest member-elected position at the Exchange and carries a one-year term with a maximum of three consecutive terms served.
