CBOE Announces the Beginning of Trading In Decimals Effective Monday, August 28, 2000

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today it will begin trading in decimals on Monday, August 28, 2000 in the following options: Gateway Inc. (CBOE symbols GTW; GTX and WGB); Federal Express (CBOE symbols FDX; WFX and VFX) and Anadarko Petroleum Company (CBOE symbol APC).

The Minimum Price Variation (MPV) for the above listed classes will be $.05 in the options that trade below $3 and $.10 for options that trade above $3.

Changes from fractions to decimals are being made in conjunction with the commencement of trading in decimals in the underlying stocks at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
