OEF options were listed exclusively at CBOE on February 7, 2001 and trade in the OEX trading pit from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Central Time. OEF options trade like stock options, are American-style exercise, are settled by physical delivery, and trade in decimals.
The underlying security for OEF options is the iShares S&P 100 Index Fund (ticker symbol OEF) traded at the CBOE. The iShares S&P Index Fund is an exchange-traded fund that seeks investment results which correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 100® Index. OEF trades like an individual stock, but offers the investment diversification of an index. Like a stock, OEF shares are traded on the Exchange, and can be bought and sold intra-day or held over the long term.
CBOE, the world's largest options marketplace and creator of listed options, is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). For additional information about the CBOE and its products, access the CBOE site on the World Wide Web at http://www.cboe.com.
