CBOE Announces Record Volume In Ishares (Sm) S&P 100® Index Fund (OEF)

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that for the third time in less than a week, volume in the iShares(SM) S&P 100® Index Fund (ticker symbol OEF) set a new record. Volume at CBOE in the OEF was 827,500 shares, beating the record of 707,300 shares that was established on Tuesday, June 5, 2001. The OEF iShares trade exclusively at CBOE and Wolverine Trading, L.P. is the Designated Primary Market Maker (DPM). Trading hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Central Time.

The iShares S&P 100 Index Fund is an exchange-traded fund that seeks the investment results which correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 100® Index. iShares S&P 100 Index Fund trades like an individual stock, but offers the investment diversification of an index. Like a stock, OEF shares are traded on the Exchange, and can be bought and sold intra-day or held over the long term.
