CBOEdirectTM, which will launch in the first quarter of 2001, is the latest demonstration of CBOE's leadership in trading technology and innovation. Several years in the planning, the system has been built completely in-house, and achieves the unprecedented goal of putting the entire options universe onto a single platform with the capacity needed to handle more than 200,000 option series. Initially, the system will be used to trade CBOE's proprietary index products, such as the S&P100 Index options (OEX) and the Dow Jones Index options (DJX), outside of regular trading hours.
CBOE, the world's largest options marketplace and the creator of listed options, is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). For additional information about the CBOE and its products, access the CBOE site on the World Wide Web at http://www.cboe.com.
