Capital Automotive REIT To Join Nasdaq Financial-100 Index Beginning February 15, 2002

Capital Automotive REIT (Nasdaq:CARS) of McLean, Virginia, will become a component of the Nasdaq Financial-100 Index® effective at the beginning of trading Friday, February 15, 2002. Capital Automotive REIT will replace Old National Bancorp (Nasdaq:OLDB), which is de-listing from The Nasdaq Stock Market®.

With a common stock equity market capitalization of $557 million, Capital Automotive REIT is a self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust that acquires real property and improvements used by operators of multi-site, multi-franchised automotive dealerships and related businesses.
