Cantor Fitzgerald International New Member of MONEP

The Paris branch of Cantor Fitzgerald International has become a member of MONEP with the status of Broker dealer on index futures and options. This new membership brings the total number of MONEP members to 114 compared to 87 in April 1998. Since the beginning of the year, seven MONEP members have extended their activities: ABN AMRO and Morgan Stanley have become Individual Clearing Member on all MONEP's market divisions, Cargill Investor Services and Paribas have become Broker dealer-Multi Clearer, Deutsche Bank, Securities Futures GIE and Crédit Lyonnais Rouse have become Multi Clearer on all MONEP's market divisions. The constant growth of MONEP members reflects the growing interest of market operators for the equity and index derivatives traded in Paris. For the first four months of 1999, more than 63 million contracts have been negotiated on MONEP's state-of-the-art electronic system NSC.
