CalPERS Statement On NYSE's Investigation Into Grasso Pay Package

Sean Harrigan, President of the California Public Employees' Retirement System's (CalPERS) Board of Administration, today issued the following statement regarding the NYSE's completion of the Dick Grasso pay package inquiry.

"I am very pleased with the reports that the New York Stock Exchange has completed its internal investigation into the propriety and circumstances surrounding the Grasso excessive pay package. I want to particularly commend the Exchange's board of directors for recognizing the seriousness of the report's contents by forwarding it on to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York Attorney General's Office. We hope that the Exchange, the SEC and the Attorney General's Office will take prompt and substantive action to hold accountable anyone who has violated their fiduciary duty or specific state and federal laws."
