Turnover
Total number of trading days in November 2006 amounted to 22 days with total value traded of US$ 4,169 million (LE 23,973 million). Value traded of listed securities amounted to US$ 3,645 million (LE 20,961 million), of which shares, bonds and funds represented 93.85%, 6.15% and 0.00%, respectively. Unlisted securities i.e. Over the Counter trading reached US$ 524 million (LE 3,012 million), which represents 13% of total value traded for the month.
This is in comparison to October 2006, when value traded of listed securities amounted to US$ 2,937 million (LE 16,890 million), of which shares represented 98.96%, bonds 1.04% and funds 0.00%. In addition, the OTC trading amounted to US$ 213 million (LE 1,223 million) i.e. 7% of total trading (on- and off-exchange trading) which reached US$ 3,150 million (LE 18,113 million).
Total volume traded of listed securities market for this month reached 895 million securities.
During November 2006, 708,869 transactions were concluded with an average of 32,221 trades per day, as opposed to 376,889 transactions and an average of 20,938 trades per day in October 2006.
Indices
CASE 30 Price index, the official market index, witnessed a 0.7% decrease in November 2006 to reach 6560.74 points and witnessed a 18.2% increase on YoY.
However, the Dow Jones CASE Egypt Titans 20 index witnessed a 0.5% decrease in November, to close at 1454.83 points on 30/11/2006, and a 20.6% increase on a YoY basis.

The top five losers were (in ascending order of price change) Misr Oils & Soap (-28%), Arab Real Estate Investment (ALCO) (-16%), Arab Cotton Ginning (-14%), National Glass & Crystal Co. (-14%) and Arab Polvara Spinning & Weaving Co. (-12%).
