Total number of trading days in November 2005 amounted to 20 days with total value traded of LE 14,813.11 million. Value traded of listed securities amounted to LE 14,172.91 million, of which shares, bonds and funds represented 96.04%, 3.96% and 0.00% respectively. On the other hand, OTC trading reached LE 640.20 million, which represents 4% of total value traded for the month.
This is in comparison to October 2005, when value traded of listed securities amounted to LE 13,723.12 million, of which shares represented 94.21%, bonds 5.79% and funds 0.00%. In addition, the OTC trading amounted to LE 940.90 million i.e. 6% of total trading (on- and off-exchange trading) which reached LE 14,664.02 million.
Total volume traded (shares & bonds) for this month reached 360.21 million securities.
During November 2005, 369,566 transactions were concluded with an average of 18,478 trades per day, as opposed to 432,063 transactions and an average of 20,574 trades per day in October 2005.
Indices
CASE 30 Price, the official market index, witnessed a 1.3% decrease in November 2005 to reach 5550.60 points and witnessed a 135% increase on YoY.
However, the MSCI Egypt index witnessed a 0.37% decrease in November, to close at 637.80 points on 30/11/2005, and a 151.12% increase on a YoY basis.
