Turnover
Total number of trading days in June 2007 amounted to 20 days with total value traded of US$ 5,794 million (LE 33,028 million). Value traded of listed securities amounted to US$ 5,568 million (LE 31,737 million), of which shares, bonds and funds represented 91.54%, 8.46% and 0.00%, respectively. Unlisted securities i.e. Over the Counter trading reached US$ 226 million (LE 1,291 million), which represents 4% of total value traded for the month.
This is in comparison to May 2007, when value traded of listed securities amounted to US$ 4,785 million (LE 27,273 million), of which shares represented 90.71%, bonds 9.29% and funds 0.00%. In addition, the OTC trading amounted to US$ 523 million (LE 2,980 million) i.e. 10 % of total trading (on- and off-exchange trading) which reached US$ 5,308 million (LE 30,253 million).
Total volume traded of listed securities market for this month reached 1,063 million securities.
During June 2007, 641,911 transactions were concluded with an average of 32,096 trades per day, as opposed to 896,373 transactions and an average of 40,744 trades per day in May 2007.
Indices
CASE 30 price index, the official market index, witnessed a 0.43% increase in June 2007 to reach 7803.40 points and witnessed a YoY increase of 63.50%.
Likewise, the Dow Jones CASE Egypt Titans 20 index witnessed a 1.33% increase in June, to close at 1673.05 points on 28/6/2007, and a 55.19% increase on a YoY basis.

During the month of June, the top five gainers, on the official CASE market, were (in descending order of price change) TECNO GRAVEL EGYPT (+1,145%), Global Energy (+387%), Fertilized Egypt Co. (+341%), Zahraa Maadi Investment & Development (+140%) and TransOceans Tours (+132%).
The top five losers were (in ascending order of price change) Ceramic & Porcelain (-62%), Misr Oils & Soap (-45%), Paper Middle East (Simo) (-45%), Alexandria Commercial & Maritime Bank (-44%) and Remco for Touristic Villages Construction (41%).
Market Capitalization
Total market capitalization of shares amounted to US$ 105.6 billion (LE 601.8 billion) as of end of June 2007 compared to US$ 105 billion (LE 596 billion) in May 2007, representing a 1% increase.
The bond capitalization recorded US$ 700 million (LE 4 billion) for corporate bonds and US$ 10 billion (LE 59 billion) for government bonds at the end of June 2007 (Including Treasury Bonds according to Primary Dealers System).
Foreign Participation
In June 2007, foreign investors participated with 31% of the total market value traded with a net outflow of portfolio foreign investment totaling US$ 1.2 billion (LE 7 billion).
