It’s worth mentioning that Egypt is the first Arab country to join WFE as a full member, which in turn reflects the compliance of the Egyptian Stock Exchange to the international standards recognized by financial institutions and regulatory bodies in different markets.
The WFE consists of 54 member exchanges from different regions, representing almost 97% of the world market capitalization. The most prominent exchanges are New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, London Stock Exchange and OMX Exchange LTD… etc.
From another perspective, the Chairman of CASE highlighted that the WFE, being a term of reference to all exchanges, helps facilitating the cooperation and the exchange of information among member exchanges. Moreover, the federation helps the member exchanges in setting their working strategies and directs them to best technical and administration practices.
