CASE 30 Index recorded an increase of 88% since the beginning of this year, which reflects the investors' positive sentiment toward the latest political and economic reform measures.
Likewise, the Market Capitalization soared to LE 345 billion (representing almost 73% of the Gross Domestic Product GDP) with an increase of 48% from the end of year 2004. Value traded recorded LE 1.2 billion in that day (driven by an executed deal worth LE 500 million), 38.1% of which owed to foreigners while institutions contributed with almost 72.3%.
Similarly, volume traded recorded 14.4 million shares while the number of transactions reached 12,4 thousand transactions.
