The Berne Stock Exchange BX Swiss AG starts the listing of exchange traded funds (ETFs). As of today, 25 Deutsche Asset Management's db x-trackers are listed exclusively in the BX Swiss Segment Swissfunds.
About 400 ETFs from various providers are admitted to trade on BX Swiss since 2015. The addition of Deutsche Asset Management's ETFs increases the diversity of the Swiss ETF market. For the newly listed ETFs, market maker Baader Helvea ensures compliance to the prescribed spreads, which are aligned to international standards.
BX Swiss, that started managing its operations from Zurich in January 2017, is the only alternative Swiss stock exchange to SIX Swiss Exchange AG. The small Bernese stock exchange is in no way inferior to the big competitor from Zurich. On the contrary, since in the BX trading model "Q1" a market maker provides continuous and reliable liquidity, tradable spreads are already 90% of the time tighter than those on SIX.
Fee Holiday and Best Execution
As an additional incentive, BX Swiss offers a trading fee waiver until 30.09.2017.
No trading fees are charged for all instruments traded on trading model “Q1”, including all ETFs, international and SIX listed shares. Combined with the tighter spreads, BX thus becomes the preferred trading place for best execution.
