Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad (“BMD”) today announced that the Palm and Lauric Oils Price Outlook Conference & Exhibition (“POC”) 2020, scheduled to take place from 22 – 24 June 2020 in Kuala Lumpur, will be cancelled due to uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift, Chairman of BMD said, “Taking into consideration the health and safety of attendees, it is with sincere regret that we have to cancel this year’s POC. We have been closely monitoring the situation and assessed that this is the best way to proceed given the uncertainties of the global pandemic.
We are immensely grateful for the continued support shown by our participants, sponsors and partners. BMD looks forward to bringing you POC 2021 as we continue to host this global platform that brings together thought leaders, decision-makers and industry players from the global oils and fats industry”.
