Profit After Tax, Zakat and Minority Interest ("PATAMI") of RM70.2 million for the third quarter ended 30 September 2026 ("3Q2026") recorded an increase of 10.0% from RM63.8 million in the corresponding quarter last year. Operating revenue for 9M2026 rose 19.8% year-on-year ("YoY") to RM620.8 million, mainly driven by higher trading activity in the securities and derivatives markets and listing fees. Operating expenses increased 23.4% YoY to RM349.0 million, reflecting continued investment in talent and technology, as well as regulatory fees.

In the Securities Market, Average Daily Trading Value ("ADV") for On-Market Trades (“OMT”) increased 27.6% YoY to RM3.2 billion. Fundraising activity remained strong, with 47 initial public offerings ("IPOs") raising RM6.1 billion and contributing RM28.7 billion in market capitalisation. Bursa Malaysia led ASEAN by number of IPOs and funds raised during the period.

In the Derivatives Market, Average Daily Contracts ("ADC") grew 19.3% YoY to 113,120 contracts, driven primarily by stronger trading activity in Crude Palm Oil Futures and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Futures.

In the Islamic Market, Bursa Suq Al-Sila' ("BSAS") recorded an ADV of RM48.5 billion. Bursa Gold Dinar maintained its growth momentum, with the value of gold transacted increasing 124.2% YoY to RM234.5 million.

Dato' Fad'l Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia said, “The first nine months saw continued momentum across our markets, with stronger trading activity, continued fundraising and encouraging investor participation. The 47 IPOs during the period, together with the 27.6% increase in Securities Market ADV and 19.3% growth in Derivatives Market ADC during the period, point to healthy participation across our markets.”

“With Bank Negara Malaysia projecting GDP growth of 4% to 5% in 2026, Malaysia’s domestic fundamentals remain supportive of capital raising and investment activity. At the same time, geopolitical uncertainty and tighter global financial conditions mean investors are becoming more discerning about where they allocate capital. Against this backdrop, our focus remains on driving market vibrancy and participation, while investing in the resilience and reliability of our market infrastructure. The enhancements to the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI and FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Indices, MY Value Up and efforts to deepen regional and international market linkages, including between Malaysia and Hong Kong, are among the strategic initiatives we are pursuing towards this end.”
