Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia” or the “Exchange”) recently hosted the Bursa Excellence Awards 2023 at The St. Regis, Kuala Lumpur, with luminaries of Malaysia’s capital market and broking community. In this 11th edition, the awards event combined the prestigious Bursa Excellence Awards with the Retail Investor Campaign and the Mirror, Learn & Trade (“MLT”) Analyst Awards, for a comprehensive recognition of outstanding performance across the Malaysian capital market.
The 2023 awards ceremony honoured the achievements of brokers and market intermediaries across the Securities, Derivatives and Islamic markets, awarding 53 accolades in 23 categories. Additionally, 76 winners of the Retail Investor Campaign, and 6 analysts of the MLT programme were also recognised at the event.
In his welcoming speech at the event, Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar mentioned that the broking community’s pursuit of excellence and unwavering dedication, working hand-inhand with Bursa Malaysia, have been instrumental in helping shape Malaysia’s capital market. “The Bursa Excellence Awards stands as a beacon of outstanding achievements in Malaysia’s capital market. We are pleased to present the Awards in recognition of the synergistic efforts and exceptional accomplishments of our broking community that drive the upward momentum of the capital market,” Tan Sri Abdul Wahid said.
