Bursa Malaysia wishes to draw investors’ attention to the recent announcements made by Transmile Group Berhad (“TRANMIL”) in relation to the Company’s Audited Financial Statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2006.
On 15 February 2007 TRANMIL announced an unaudited profit before tax for the year ended 31 December 2006 of RM 206.734 million.
On 7 May 2007, the Board of TRANMIL expressed concern on the reliability of the above-mentioned unaudited consolidated results.
Bursa Malaysia takes a very serious view on the non-availability of reliable financial information on TRANMIL for the financial year ended 31 December 2006 and has reminded the company to make the necessary disclosures on their actual financial position to the market as soon as possible.
Investors are therefore urged to exercise due care and diligence in their investment decisions on TRANMIL.
