Bursa Malaysia Berhad Announces Appointment Of Directors To Its Subsidiaries

Bursa Malaysia Berhad announced the appointment of Puan Mazidah binti Abdul Malik as a Director to the Board of Directors of its subsidiaries, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and its clearing house, Bursa Malaysia Securities Clearing Sdn Bhd, effective 1 March 2017.

Puan Maziah binti Abdul Malik has extensive experience in trading and portfolio investments in international fixed income markets, having spent 16 years at the Investment and Treasury department of the central Bank. Prior to this, she has served Bank Negara Malaysia for more than 30 years. She also holds directorship in Alliance Investment Bank Berhad.

The Board of Directors of these subsidiaries as at 1 March 2017 consist of three Directors of Bursa Malaysia Berhad and two independent Directors, as follows:-

1. Encik Johari bin Abdul Muid
   Non-Executive Director and Public Interest Director
2. Dato’ Saiful Bahri bin Zainuddin
   Independent Non-Executive Director of Bursa Malaysia Berhad
3. Datuk Seri Tajuddin bin Atan
   Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Bursa Malaysia Berhad
4. Mr. Kuok Wee Kiat
   Independent Director with experience in securities industry
5. Puan Mazidah binti Abdul Malik
   Independent Director with experience in securities industry
