Bursa Malaysia Berhad Announces Appointment Of Director To Its Subsidiaries

Bursa Malaysia Berhad announced the appointment of Encik Johari bin Abdul Muid as its Nominee Director to the Board of Directors of its subsidiaries, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and its clearing house, Bursa Malaysia Securities Clearing Sdn Bhd, effective 25 May 2016.

Encik Johari bin Abdul Muid has over 30 years of experience in the securities industry.  He is currently a Director of Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad, and Nomura Asset Management Malaysia Sdn Bhd. He is also an Investment Panel Member of Kumpulan Wang Amanah Pencen.

The Boards of Directors of these subsidiaries as at 25 May 2016 consist of three Directors of Bursa Malaysia Berhad and one independent Director, as follows:-

1. Encik Johari bin Abdul Muid 
   Non-Executive Director and Public Interest Director of Bursa Malaysia Berhad
2. Dato’ Saiful Bahri bin Zainuddin
   Independent Non-Executive Director of Bursa Malaysia Berhad
3. Datuk Seri Tajuddin bin Atan
   Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Bursa Malaysia Berhad; and
4. Mr. Kuok Wee Kiat
   Independent Director with experience in securities industry.
