Bursa Malaysia And Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center Sign Memorandum Of Understanding

Bursa Malaysia Berhad (Bursa Malaysia) and Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center (HCMC-STC) today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together in the development of the securities markets within Malaysia and Vietnam.

The two parties have agreed to collaborate to develop channels of communication, assist in maintaining a fair and orderly market in each country and facilitate exchange of information, expertise and technical knowledge.

Yusli Mohamed Yusoff, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia Berhad said, “We are excited with the opportunities this MOU presents as this partnership allows both Bursa Malaysia and HCMC-STC to cooperate in market development and explore new business ventures together.”

“This collaboration also demonstrated our commitment in developing strategic alliances with industry partners globally in line with our mutual aim to offer the benefits of capital market investments in both countries,” added Yusli.

Dr. Tran Dac Sinh, General Director of HCMC-STC said, “We are happy to partner with Bursa Malaysia which boasts strong performance in the securities market. Through this MOU, we hope to further strengthen the cordial and strong bilateral working relations between HCMC-STC and Bursa Malaysia.”

Additionally, Bursa Malaysia, which operates securities, derivatives and offshore exchanges, will work closely with HCMC-STC in providing assistance for training and research as well as cross-trading within Malaysia and Vietnam.
