Bursa Malaysia And Bursa Berjangka Jakarta Sign Memorandum Of Understanding To Establish Cooperative Ties

Bursa Malaysia Berhad and Bursa Berjangka Jakarta (BBJ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today to establish cooperative ties between the two exchanges in the development of the futures and commodities markets within Malaysia and Indonesia.

The exchanges have agreed to work together to develop areas of cooperation, facilitate exchange of information and experiences for the purpose of promoting and developing the futures market within these two countries.

Dato’ Yusli Mohamed Yusoff, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia said, “This MOU will certainly pave the way for greater cooperation between both exchanges. Bursa Malaysia is a global marketplace, and with the unprecedented and growing demand in Asia, we are proud of this alliance with such a reputable exchange.”

Hasan Zein Mahmud, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Berjangka Jakarta said, “Bursa Malaysia and BBJ both operate derivatives market in palm oil in their respective countries and therefore have common aims and aspirations. This collaboration will allow both exchanges to gain through mutual efficiencies.”
