Bursa Malaysia: Amendment To Updates In Syariah Index Components

Bursa Malaysia Berhad would like to announce that further to the media release issued on 3 November 2004 on 'Update in Kuala Lumpur Syariah Index Components,' there are four companies out of the 44 companies announced which will not be included into the Syariah Index of Bursa Malaysia on Monday, 22 November 2004.

The Syariah status of the four companies, which had assumed the listing status of previous listed companies has yet to be determined by the Syariah Advisory Council of the Securities Commission until further relevant and material information have been obtained from the companies.

The four companies, which will not be included in the Syariah Index of Bursa Malaysia on Monday, 22 November 2004 are :

Following the updates to the Syariah Index on Monday, 22 November 2004, there will be a total of 476 companies in the Syariah Index of Bursa Malaysia.
