FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index:

Bunzl And Corus Group To Exit FTSE 100 Index

Date 08/06/2005

FTSE Group confirms this evening that Bunzl will join Corus Group in leaving the FTSE 100 index and entering the FTSE 250 index. This makes way for the promotion of plasterboard supplier BPB and Hammerson, the property company, from the FTSE 250 to the FTSE 100 index. After Bunzl's demerger last week, the packaging company's market capitalisation has fallen below the ranking needed for inclusion in the blue chip index. Bunzl was added to the FTSE 100 three years ago.

The FTSE Europe, Middle East and Africa Regional Committee confirmed these results at its quarterly review meeting for the FTSE UK Index Series this afternoon. All the changes to the indices announced by FTSE Group today are effective after the close of business on Friday 17th June 2005.
