Buenos Aires Futures Exchange Monthly Report For June 2000.

The Mercado a Término de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires Futures Exchange) traded 24,139 contracts in June 2000 compared to a figure of 18,678 contracts in June 1999. Total volume for the first six months of 2000 was 131,650 contracts, compared to 115,935 contracts in 1999.

In June 2000 19,291 futures contracts were traded, compared to 15,036 in 1999. There were 4,848 option contracts traded in 2000, compared to 3,642 in 1999.

Open interest on the last trading day of June 2000 was 25,652. Open interest for futures was 17,306 contracts and for options, 8,346.
