Buenos Aires Futures Exchange Monthly Report For July 2001

The Mercado a Término de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires Futures Exchange) traded 19,464 contracts in July 2001 compared to a figure of 17,042 contracts in July 2000.

In July 2001 14,858 futures contracts were traded, compared to 13,529 in 2000. There were 4,606 option contracts traded in July 2001, compared to 3,513 in 2000.

Open interest on the last trading day of July 2001 was 28,584. Open interest for futures was 15,981 contracts and for options, 12,603.
