Buenos Aires Futures Exchange Monthly Report For April 2000.

The Mercado a Término de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires Futures Exchange) traded 22,499 contracts in April 2000 compared to a figure of 20,843 contracts in April 1999. Total volume for the first four months of 2000 was 86,032 contracts, compared to 80,580 contracts in 1999.

In April 2000 18,610 futures contracts were trade, compared to 18,002 in 1999. There were 3,889 option contracts traded in 2000, compared to 2,841 in 1999.

Open interest on the last trading day of April 2000 was 23,414. Open interest for futures was 18,342 contracts and for options, 5,072.
