Yesterday the people of the UK decided to leave the European Union. Börse Berlin´s market place Equiduct, which is operated from London, is well prepared to deal with the consequences of this decision. Therefore Equiduct does not expect any immediate change in its financial services offerings.
Berlin, 24th June 2016. Thanks to its four CCPs, the majority of which are interoperable, Börse Berlin´s market place Equiduct will continue to offer its pan-European trading services even after the people of the UK voted to leave the European Union. In addition, London-based international entities providing liquidity to Equiduct have the ability to continue to meet EU capital market standards.
The fully electronic Equiduct market will now use the transition period to make any adjustments necessary in order to provide its trading services wthin the EU and in the UK.
