British Energy Group Plc replaces BAA In The S&P European Indices

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350 and S&P United Kingdom indices, effective after the close of trading on Wednesday 5th July 2006:

British Energy Group Plc (United Kingdom, SEDOL: B04QKW5, GICS: Utilities, GICS Code: 55101010) will replace BAA (United Kingdom, SEDOL: 0067340, GICS: Industrials, GICS Code: 20305010) in the S&P Europe 350 and S&P United Kingdom indices. BAA is being deleted from the S&P Europe 350 and S&P United Kingdom indices following the acquisition by fellow S&P Europe 350 constituent, Grupo Ferrovial, S.A..
British Energy Group Plc is the UK’s largest producer of electricity. The number of shares outstanding is 569,557,000 and the Investable Weight Factor will be 1. The company will be added to the S&P Europe 350 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Electric Utilities.
