The Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN) has marked its first year with the publication of a report describing the consortium’s achievements and its ambitions for the future.
GFIN, of which the British Columbia Securities Commission is a member, is a network of regulators from around the world committed to supporting financial innovation and to creating a framework for co-operation between regulators to share approaches to financial technology (fintech).
The One Year On report sets out the highlights of the network’s first year, including an innovative international cross-border testing pilot for firms wishing to market products, services or business models across multiple jurisdictions.
The report also demonstrates GFIN’s commitment to listening to stakeholders, recognizing that their feedback is necessary to ensuring that the network continues to add value.
GFIN looks forward to the next year of engagement and to improving ways of working together for the benefit of innovative firms and other stakeholders.
