Today Euronext Lisbon received a new bond issue. BPI, Portugal’s third-largest listed bank, issued and listed €175 million of bonds on Euronext Lisbon, part of a program of covered bonds that could reach seven billion euros.
The bonds were issued today and will mature in 2016.
Earlier this month, the bank launched a new series of bond issues of €500 million, as part of the same program, which are also traded on Euronext Lisbon.
In 2009, Euronext Lisbon admitted to trading €12.1 billion in bonds, a rise of 45% over the same period last year. This amount includes a new bond issue of €25 million from BES that will be listed on Friday, 29th May.
