BOVESPA’s options market is achieving a global projection. According to the International Options Market Association (IOMA) Annual Survey 2006, which compared the statistics of several options and derivatives markets in the world, the most traded stock option was Petrobras PN, registering 207 million contracts traded.
Petrobras PN trading represented 7.8% of the options’ world market share, whereas Telemar PN ranked as 5th, trading 34 million contracts, followed by Net PN (7th) and CVRD PNA (9th). If you want to see the full Survey, click here.
