The net inflow of foreign investments in the Brazilian Stock Market accounted to BRL 31,692,178,299.30 (or USD 14,667,585,335.10) in 2007. This figure includes the purchases of international investors in the public offerings , which amounted to BRL 31,873,780,805.30 (or USD 14,780,550,991.10), and the net trading value at BOVESPA, which registered an outflow of BRL 181,602,506.00 (or USD 112,965,656.00), as of September 2007.
In September, international investors´ total purchase at BOVESPA was 32,397,674,456.00 (or USD 17,153,597,838.00) and total sales of BRL 28,586,502,339.00 (or USD 15,121,000,428.00), totaling a net inflow of BRL 3,811,172,117.00 (or USD 2,032,597,410.00).

The International Investor´s participation in public offerings represented 74.2% of the total value of offerings in 2007, which accounted to BRL 42,943,445,400.60 billion (or USD 21,742,317,157.50 billion).

Trading Value
In September, BOVESPA registered BRL 4.7 billion (or USD 2.5 billion) as financial value daily average. The daily average in number of trades reached, on average 158,035 a day. For comparison purposes, August registered 165,128 trades as average with BRL 5.4 billion (or USD 2.7 billion) financial value traded.
In terms of the total value traded in September, BOVESPA turned over BRL 123.7 billion (or USD 62.6 billion) compared to BRL 90.0 billion (or USD 47.6 billion) in the previous month. In 2007, as of September, the total trading value has already reached BRL 808.8 billion or USD 407.1 billion, overcoming the total trading value registered in 2006 (BRL 598.9 billion or USD 275.6 billion)
The most active stocks in terms of trading value were:
- Vale R Doce PNA (BRL 11.3 billion or USD 5.9 billion);
- Petrobras PN (BRL 9.9 billion or USD 5.2 billion);
- Vale R Doce ON (BRL 2.7 billion or USD 1.4 billion);
- Bradesco PN (BRL 2.5 billion or USD 1.3 billion); and
- Usiminas PNA (BRL 2.4 billion or USD 1.2 billion).

Investors Groups
The monthly trading turnover was pushed again by International Investors, who led transactions with a 33.97% stake against 33.05% in August. Institutional Investors ranked second with 32.71% compared to 33.05% registered in the previous month, followed by Individuals with 24.28% (against 22.54%); Financial Institutions, 7.18% (against 11.51%); Companies, 1.73%, (against 1.19%); and the Other group with 0.13% (against 0.14%).

Home Broker Stake
The Home Broker system reached the following results in September:
- total traded value, that amounted to BRL 16.1 billion
- total number of trades registered 1.7 million
- the average value per trade registered BRL 9.3 million
The After Market had 43,152 trades and BRL 397,712,098.42 as financial value this month.

Market Capitalization
In September, BOVESPA´s market capitalization amounted to BRL 2.3 trillion or USD 1.2 trillion.

Novo Mercado and Levels of Corporate Governance
The 140 companies which by the end of September were listed at BOVESPA´s Special Levels of Corporate Governance represented 59% of BOVESPA´s total market capitalization, 69% of the trading value and 72% of the number of trades in the cash market.
In September, Satipel joined Novo Mercado, raising BRL 398 million (preliminary data).

Markets
The Cash Market was responsible for 92.2% of the total value traded in September, followed by the Options (4.9%) and Forward (2.9%) markets.
Ibovespa
The Ibovespa benchmark closed September up 10.6% at 60,465 points. This number represents a rise of 35.9% in local currency terms, from January to September 2007.

The following indices closed the month up: IBrX-50 (+12.3% at 8,873 points); IBrX-100 (+11.2% at 19,879); IGC (+10.0% at 6,969 points); ISE (+7.8% at 1,783 points); ITAG (+6.6% at 8,794 points); INDX (+5.8% at 9,779 points); IVBX-2 (+5.6% at 5,702 points); and IEE (+2.0% at 17,196).
Only the ITEL closed the month down (-1.6% at 1,308 points).
Fixed Income
In September, 2 FDICs (Receivable Investment Funds) and 1 CRI (Real Estate Receivable Certificates) started to trade at BOVESPA Fix and SOMA Fix Markets. The trading value of BOVESPA´s fixed income markets turned over BRL 136,706,487.62 or USD 72,190,093.31 (against BRL 35,641,409.75 or USD 1 8,165,856.14 totaled in previous month). Out of this total, BRL 128,400,011.32 (or USD 67,774,252.32) referred to FIDCs, 413,279.59 (or USD 221,728.10) to CRIs and BRL 7,893,196.71 (or USD 4,194,112.58) to Corporate Bonds.

Individual Investors
As of September 30, The Brazilian Clearing and Depository Corporation (CBLC) registered 284,518 individual investor custody accounts, against 284,005 in August.
BOVESPA Popularization Campaign
36 new investment clubs have registered with Bovespa in September. Considering only the year 2007, the number of investment clubs totalized 506.
Since September 2002, the popularization campaign “BOVESPA Where You Are” has stimulated the creation of 1,870 investment clubs.
BOVESPA had a total of 2,022 clubs registered as of September 30. According to the last available data (August/07), the investment clubs´ total assets amounted to BRL 12.9 billion, with 149,925 investors.
