Botswana Stock Exchange Company News - Regent Undervalued Assets Africa Fund

The investment fund Regent Undervalued Assets Africa Fund is suspended from the Botswana Stock Exchange. Trading in shares of Regent Undervalued Assets Africa Fund was suspended on the BSE with effect from January 21st 2000. The suspension arose as a result of non-payment of listing fees. The investment fund, registered in the Cayman Islands, has applied for voluntary liquidation at the request of two shareholders holding 77% of the fund's equity. The shareholders had expressed a desire to redeem their holdings as soon as possible. The Board has proposed that Peter Francis Pell-Hiley of KPMG be appointed as liquidator of the Company.
