Turnover for September was EUR 66,727.0 million. This compares to EUR 57,727.8 million in August. Domestic turnover in September was EUR 61,874.8 million, foreign turnover EUR 2,402.2 million, Nuovo Mercato EUR 2,338.4 million and on the Ristretto market EUR 111.6 million. Turnover for the period January to September 2000 was EUR 664,970.3 million.

There were 280 listed companies at the end of September. There were 233 domestic, 5 foreign, 27 Nuovo Mercato companies and 15 listed on the Risretto market.

There were 349 listed shares at the end of September. There were 301 domestic, 5 foreign, 27 Nuovo Mercato shares and 16 listed on the Risretto market.

Market capitalisation at the end of September was EUR 821,684 million. This comprised EUR 790,019 on the domestic market, EUR 25,610 million on the Nuovo Mercato and EUR 6,055 million on the Ristretto market.
