Turnover for December was EUR 57,076.6 million. This compares to EUR 76,846.1 million in November. Domestic turnover in December was EUR 52,482.5 million, foreign turnover EUR 2,919.3 million, Nuovo Mercato, Domestic, EUR 1,597.9 million, Nuovo Mercato, Foreign, EUR 26.5 million and on the Ristretto market EUR 50.3 million. Turnover for the period January to December 2000 was EUR 869,134.9 million.

There were 297 listed companies at the end of December. There were 237 domestic, 5 foreign, 39 domestic Nuovo Mercato companies, 1 foreign Nuovo Mercato company and 15 listed on the Ristretto market.

There were 361 listed shares at the end of December. There were 300 domestic, 5 foreign, 39 domestic Nuovo Mercato, 1 foreign Nuovo Mercato and 16 listed on the Ristretto market.

Domestic Market capitalisation at the end of December was EUR 818,384 million. This comprised EUR 790,277 on the domestic market, EUR 22,166 million on the domestic Nuovo Mercato, and EUR 5,941 million on the Ristretto market.
