Borsa Italiana Monthly Key Figures - August

Turnover for August was EUR 57,727.8 million. This compares to EUR 55,587.2 million in July. Domestic turnover in July was EUR 53,990.9 million, foreign turnover EUR 1,631.0 million, Nuovo Mercato EUR 2,014.8 million and on the Ristretto market EUR 91.1 million. Turnover for the period January to August 2000 was EUR 598,243.3million.

There were 281 listed companies at the end of August. There were 233 domestic, 5 foreign, 27 Nuovo Mercato companies and 16 listed on the Risretto market.

There were 351 listed shares at the end of August. There were 302 domestic, 5 foreign, 27 Nuovo Mercato shares and 17 listed on the Risretto market.

Market capitalisation at the end of August was EUR 855,499 million. This comprised EUR 822,982 on the domestic market, EUR 26,453 million on the Nuovo Mercato and EUR 6,064 million on the Ristretto market.
