Borsa İstanbul’s bell rang for the 20th anniversary of İş Investment today
The ceremony started as Borsa İstanbul CEO Osman Saraç, İş Investment Chairman İlhami Koç and İş Investment General Manager Rıza Kutlusoy rang the opening-bell together.
In his opening speech, Borsa İstanbul CEO Osman Saraç condemned the recent vicious terrorist acts against security forces and civilians in Beşiktaş and Kayseri, and expressed his wishes for a fast recovery for the injured. Saraç said, “As you are aware, esteemed President announced a campaign against terror. As Borsa İstanbul, we strive to make the maximum contribution to this valuable and meaningful call in cooperation with our stakeholders in the sector”.
Saraç thanked İş Investment Chairman and Borsa İstanbul Board member İlhami Koç for their valuable contributions to Borsa İstanbul.
Saraç went on to say:
“İş Investment is a member of all of our three basic markets and in terms of traded value, ranks among the first three intermediary institutions in especially the Equity Market and the Derivatives Market. In the Debt Securities Market, it is one of the brokerage house members with the highest traded value. In 2016, İş Investment was one of the most active members in terms of terminal usage, and also uses Borsa İstanbul’s colocation services”.
Saraç also reminded the audience that İş Investment is one of the first institutions to issue warrants, having proven to be an innovative institution open to cooperation.
Saraç said that they hope to continue with their close cooperation with İş Investment, adding, “I would like to congratulate İş Investment on their twentieth anniversary and wish the best for continued success.”
In his speech, İş Investment General Manager Rıza Kutlusoy expressed their excitement for celebrating their twentieth anniversary and thanked Borsa İstanbul for sharing this excitement in the opening-bell ceremony.
Kutlusoy said that İş Investment went public in 2007, adding, “We are the only brokerage house that has been traded on the National Market since 2007. We started off as a bank subsidiary, but today we have more than 4 thousand domestic and foreign shareholders. We are the biggest client of Borsa İstanbul. We will continue to be the leader in traded value”.
İş Investment Chairman İlhami Koç, İş Investment managers, and officials of Borsa İstanbul and its group companies Takasbank and Merkezi Kayıt Kuruluşu participated in the opening-bell ceremony.
The ceremony ended as the parties exchanged gifts.
