Borsa İstanbul And Koç University Initiate Corporate Transformation Program To support companies

In consideration of the fact that capital markets and institutionalization are inseparable, a Corporate Transformation Program has been developed using Borsa İstanbul’s accumulated know-how and Koç University’s academic experience, in order to support companies in their institutionalization efforts.

BISTEP (Corporate Transformation Program) aims to support the institutionalization process of companies with growth potential, increase capital markets knowledge of companies and provide them with the knowledge needed to enter these markets.  Institutionalization contributes to the areas of top priority in which companies aim to make a difference such as extending the company’s life cycle, ensuring sustainable growth, and gaining national and international recognition. BISTEP also provides the opportunity for companies to participate in the business network of capital markets.

Along with Borsa İstanbul and Koç University, brokers, independent auditing companies, law companies and media companies, as Borsa İstanbul’s natural and ongoing business partners in the capital markets, will be sharing their knowledge and experience within the scope of BISTEP.



The 1 year program will have 3 phases. In the first phase of the program leading names in their fields will share their knowledge through seminars organized on subjects such as corporate governance and sustainable growth, entrepreneurship and growth strategies, innovation, globalization, law, marketing, brand management, corporate strategy, and alternative solutions that capital markets offer to the companies. There will be interactive panel discussions where the attendees will have the opportunity to discuss current issues. In the second phase of the program, current situation analysis and strategy development will be made for each company at each companies’ headquarters together with companies’ executives under the leadership of professional consultants. After setting the company’s short, mid and long term goals, a road-map will be prepared by determining the action steps to achieve these goals. At this stage, seminars will be organized on topics of top priority for companies to share information and ensure ongoing communication. At the third stage, where the participant companies implement their institutionalization strategies; seminars and forums to share knowledge and comprehensive activities for networking purposes will be held.

Companies with a history of minimum 3 calendar years and minimum TL 10 million asset size or net sales revenues according to their financial statements pertaining to the previous year can apply to the Program. Top managers of the accepted companies will undertake active attendance in the Program. The Program will start in September 2016, and the deadline for application is July 25, 2016.
