Boerse Stuttgart Records May Turnover Of Around EUR 8,2 Billion - Equities And Exchange-Traded Products Show Increase In Trading Volume Compared To May 2020

Based on the order book statistics, Boerse Stuttgart generated turnover of around EUR 8,2 billion in May 2021 – an increase of around 1 per cent compared to the same month of the previous year.

 

Securitised derivatives made up the largest share of the turnover. The trading volume in this asset class was around EUR 3,2 billion. Leverage products generated turnover of around EUR 2,3 billion. Investment products contributed around EUR 868 million to the total turnover.

According to the order book, trading in equities produced turnover of around EUR 2,3 billion – an increase of around 6 per cent compared to May 2020. German equities contributed around EUR 1,2 billion towards this total and international equities around EUR 1,1 billion.

Turnover shown in the order book from exchange-traded products (ETPs) was around EUR 1,8 billion – around 23 per cent more than in May 2020. Investment fund units contributed around EUR 194 million to the May total.

The monthly total for trading in debt instruments (bonds) was around EUR 690 million. At around EUR 457 million, the lion’s share of turnover in this asset class was attributable to corporate bonds.
