Boerse Stuttgart is extending its trading hours for securitised derivatives. As from 9 April 2018, it will be possible to trade certain products between 8.00 and 22.00 hours CET, with five issuers expected to facilitate extended trading on selected products. This means that retail investors in these securities will be able to avail themselves of Boerse Stuttgart’s high trading quality before and after the exchange's core trading hours.
Compared to OTC trading, retail investors will continue to benefit during the extended trading hours from Boerse Stuttgart’s comprehensive pre and post-trade transparency as well as from independent monitoring by the Trading Surveillance Office. ‘We are open to other issuers who might wish to offer extended trading hours for their products,’ said Oliver Hans, Managing Director at Baden-Wuerttembergische Wertpapierboerse. ‘Together, we are working on driving the Euwax trading segment forward to the next level.’
Given its market leading position, Boerse Stuttgart wants to strengthen exchange-based trading in securitised derivatives. “These extended trading hours will provide an additional benefit to investors: they will now be able to carry out exchange-based trades between 8.00 and 22.00 hours CET in response to market developments in Asia and the United States – and to do so reliably and at competitive prices”, said Dragan Radanovic, Managing Director at Boerse Stuttgart GmbH. Boerse Stuttgart’s trading experts will monitor the accuracy of issuers’ quotes and will assist with orders that require special support.
