BNP Paribas Asset Management (‘BNPP AM’) announces that it has appointed Franck Nicolas as Senior Client Solution Manager within its Multi Asset, Quantitative & Solutions investment group (‘MAQS’), BNPP AM’s investment group built around a full and innovative range of investment products and solutions within multi-asset, structured and quantitative management.
Based in Paris, Franck joined on 19 November and reports to Anton Wouters, Head of Solutions & Client Advisory. Within MAQS, this team provides advice and designs dedicated solutions, including fiduciary and LDI management, for institutional investors including pension funds and insurance companies. Franck is responsible for constructing customised solutions for clients, including balance sheet management, multi asset solutions and overlays, and will work closely with the Institutional Sales and Investment teams. He will focus on the French market and will build on MAQS’ existing broad range of investment capacities, helping to meet the growing needs of investors seeking innovative and tailor-made solutions. MAQS offers leading ’quantamental‘ management, combining proprietary quantitative expertise with fundamental research capabilities, underpinned by active risk management.
Franck has extensive asset management experience both in portfolio management and financial engineering. He joins from Natixis Asset Management where he was Head of the Investment & Client Solutions Business Unit. Previous roles include Head of the Global Allocation & ALM Department and Head of Economic Research & Strategy, both at Natixis AM. Before that he worked as a financial engineer and Director of Quantitative Engineering & Research at the former IXIS Asset Management. He began his career as a fixed income manager at HSBC Midland Bank in Paris and London.
Franck Nicolas holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Aix-en-Provence, a PhD in Management from the University from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and an MBA from HEC Business School in Geneva.
