BMO Capital Markets To Host Its Inaugural London Energy Summit - Oil & Gas Executives And Investors From Europe, The Middle East And Africa To Attend BMO's First London Energy Summit

BMO Capital Markets will host its inaugural Energy Summit on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, in London. The Summit will bring together Oil & Gas companies and investors from Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to discuss and debate key issues facing the industry today.

"BMO Capital Markets has made a significant commitment to grow its presence in the EMEA Energy markets, and we plan for this inaugural London Energy Summit to become a key calendar event for the industry," said Shane Fildes, Global Head of Energy at BMO Capital Markets.

Panel discussions will address the following themes:

  • Frontier and Emerging Exploration
  • Valuations of Exploration and Production (E&P) companies
  • Oil & Gas opportunities in Kurdistan
  • Unconventionals in the EMEA region

The Summit agenda will also include technical teach-in sessions given by our London-based geoscience Acquisitions & Divestitures team.

"The valuation and performance of the E&P sector are critical for corporates that are considering accessing equity markets and to institutional investors' appetite to participate in the sector," said Neil Haycock, Head of UK Corporate Broking & ECM, BMO Capital Markets and moderator of the panel on valuations. "We will examine the current market and trends from both a corporate and institutional viewpoint."

Summit panelists will also feature BMO's Oil & Gas research team in London. Iain Reid, Brendan Warn and David Round initiated research coverage of 37 EMEA oil and gas stocks last month.
