Last July BME agreed to distribute the ordinary dividend in three payments as of 2009, inclusive: two interim dividends and a final dividend following the company’s Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting. Given this agreement and in view of the coming changes to the tax regime, the Board of Directors of BME, during its meeting in October 2009 decided to move distribution to shareholders of the second interim dividend forward to late December.

Since its creation in 2003, BME has distributed over €1bn in dividends.
