Braindex, BME's 100% online financial training platform, announced today at the Stock Exchange Palace in Madrid a collaboration agreement with the Inspiring Girls Foundation and BlackRock, with which it expands its educational offer with five new free courses to promote the dissemination of financial literacy among young women and girls.
The signing ceremony was attended by Enrique Castellanos, Head of Instituto BME, Marta Pérez Dorao, President of Inspiring Girls Spain, and Javier García Díaz, Head of Sales for BlackRock in Iberia.
As a result of the agreement, five prestigious professionals from BlackRock, the world's largest investment fund manager, will teach the courses Personal Finance, Budgeting, Savings and Debt; Alternative Investments, Liquidity and Risk Management; Sustainable Investing; Asset Management and Financial Markets.
Inspiring Girls is a foundation that seeks to promote the aspirations of young women and girls within the financial field, putting them in contact with inspiring women. The mission of these professionals is to bring girls closer to the wide range of jobs they can aspire to in the future and to encourage them to pursue their goals and ambitions.
"We are very pleased with this agreement as it allows us to expand Braindex's training offer, which has not stopped growing since its launch two years ago, and because with it we collaborate with an initiative that promotes gender equality, a key commitment for BME since a society with equality and with a female presence in all areas is undoubtedly a better society," said Enrique Castellanos, Head of Instituto BME.
"At BlackRock we are committed to supporting the local communities in which we operate. Improving financial literacy is key to helping more and more people experience financial wellbeing and we are delighted to collaborate with Inspiring Girls and BME on this initiative which aims to open doors to financial independence," added Javier García Díaz, Head of Sales for BlackRock in Iberia.
"Financial education is a key pillar for today's girls to become independent women tomorrow. That's why at Inspiring Girls we lead initiatives like this one that contribute to financial concepts arriving in adolescence and being a seed for decisions to be made in the future," says Marta Pérez Dorao, president of Inspiring Girls Spain.
Braindex, which was launched by BME in September 2021, already offers 82 courses aimed at different levels, from those who want to acquire basic notions about financial markets to professionals in the sector who want to expand their knowledge. The new Inspiring Girls by BlackRock courses will be included in the Disclosure area of BME's MOOC platform, which has three other categories of courses: Financial Markets and Products, Technology and Regulation applied to the sector.
Braindex, which has 850 students, also has collaboration agreements with universities such as ISDE or CUNEF University and seeks to grow continuously to consolidate itself as the online financial training platform of reference.
