On July 6, BM&FBOVESPA welcomed a delegation from Argentina led by Julián A. Domínguez, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries. The group of 30 came to find out more about Brazilian experience in the development of commodities futures markets, and to strengthen ties between BM&FBOVESPA and Argentina’s agricultural market.
The delegation included Lorenzo Basso, Secretary for Agriculture, Livestock & Fisheries; Ariel Franetovich, Buenos Aires Province Minister of Agrarian Affairs; Juan Martínez, President of the Córdoba Grain Exchange; Cristian Amuchástegui, President of the Rosário Board of Trade; and Ernesto Crinigan, President of the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange. The delegation watched presentations about BM&FBOVESPA and its commodity derivatives markets prepared by BM&FBOVESPA International Business Area and Ivan Wedekin, BM&FBOVESPA Commodity Products Officer.
