BM&FBOVESPA: New Regulation - Changes To The Market Arbitration Panel Regulation

Date 26/10/2011

The Market Arbitration Panel (CAM - Câmara de Arbitragem do Mercado) is the most appropriate forum to settle both corporate and stock market disputes.

The Market Panel, as it's known, was initially designed for the settlement of disputes arising out of environment where the companies from the special listing segments of BM&FBOVESPA operate, known as New Market (Novo Mercado) and Corporate Governance Level 2 (Nível 2 de Governança Corporativa). On the other hand, any company can use it as well, whether BM&FBOVESPA-listed or not, institutional investors or not, in short – anyone willing to settle conflicts whose core is related to corporate issues or the stock market.

The CAM provides an independent, confidential, agile and cost-effective environment for dispute settlements in line with the directives of the Arbitration Law.

Notice – New Regulation

Changes to the Market Arbitration Panel Regulation were approved in a closed hearing, and subsequently approved by the BM&FBOVESPA Board of Directors on September 20, 2011. The New Regulation was published in the Daily Information Bulletin of September 26, 2011 and shall come into effect 30 days after this publication.
