On July 13, Commissioner Nakajima held an in-person bilateral meeting with Ms. Janet Yellen, Secretary of the Treasury of the United States.
They exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including sustainable finance, crypto assets and stablecoins. They also confirmed that Japan FSA and the U.S. Treasury will continue to cooperate closely bilaterally and in international fora.
Ahead of this meeting, Minister Suzuki, Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Financial Services, held a bilateral meeting with Secretary Yellen on July 12. ( Link to Ministry of Finance
