BGC Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ: BGCP) ("BGC Partners," "BGC," or the "Company,") a leading global brokerage company servicing the financial and real estate markets, today announced that it plans to update its outlook for the quarter ending December 31, 2015 on that date. BGC's results will include the consolidation of those for the Company's majority-owned division, GFI Group Inc. (OTC: GFIG) ("GFI Group" or "GFI"), a leading intermediary and provider of trading technologies and support services to the global OTC and listed markets.
Commercial real estate services firms are typically seasonally strongest in the fourth calendar quarter, and this seasonality tends to be most pronounced over the last few business days of December. These seasonal patterns are particularly pronounced in real estate capital markets. In order to provide the most accurate and relevant information, BGC's outlook will therefore be updated on the last calendar day of the quarter.
The Company also plans to issue an advisory press release regarding the availability on its website of its consolidated quarterly financial results by 8:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
